Job Description

Role Overview We are seeking a proactive and innovative Cloud DevOps Engineer to assist in the development and expansion of our cloud infrastructure from the ground up.

. Cloud Solution Design and Implementation Architect and deploy scalable, secure, and cost-effective cloud infrastructure that meets both business and technical specifications.

. Infrastructure as Code (IaC) Create, maintain, and troubleshoot IaC scripts utilizing tools such as Opentofu, Terraform, AWS CloudFormation, or Google Cloud Deployment Manager.

. Cloud Environment Management Oversee and enhance cloud environments (AWS, Azure, GCP), ensuring high availability, optimal performance, and adherence to security regulations.

. Automation and Workflow Orchestration Streamline cloud operations and workflows using scripting languages (e.g., Python, Bash) and orchestration tools (e.g., Ansible, Chef, Puppet).

. Monitoring and Incident Management Deploy monitoring solutions and manage incident responses, ensuring system reliability and rapid recovery from outages.

Security and Compliance Uphold cloud security best practices, including IAM policies, encryption, and vulnerability management, in compliance with regulatory mandates.

. Cost Management Evaluate cloud usage and implement strategies to optimize resource allocation and minimize operational expenditures.

. Interdepartmental Collaboration Collaborate closely with development, DevOps, and security teams to facilitate application deployment and resolve cloud-related issues.

. Documentation and Knowledge Dissemination Maintain comprehensive documentation of cloud architecture, configurations, and procedures. Provide education to teams on cloud technologies and best practices.

. Continuous Development Stay informed about emerging cloud technologies and propose enhancements to improve infrastructure efficiency and responsiveness.

Position Requirements

. Education: A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, IT, or a related discipline is required. A Master's degree is advantageous but not mandatory.

. Experience: 3-5 years of practical cloud engineering experience, with strong expertise in GCP.

. GCP Expertise: Extensive knowledge of GCP services such as Compute Engine, Cloud Storage, VPC, Cloud Functions, Cloud Run, and BigQuery.

. IaC Proficiency: Skilled in Terraform. Experience with GCP Deployment Manager is a plus.

. Scripting & Automation: Strong scripting capabilities in Python, Bash, or Go for automation and cloud operations. CI/CD & DevOps: Familiarity with GCP-native tools like Cloud Build and Artifact Registry, along with Git-based workflows.

. Security & IAM: Comprehensive understanding of IAM, service accounts, and cloud security protocols.

. Monitoring & Logging: Knowledge of GCP's operations suite (formerly Stackdriver) for observability.

. Networking Concepts: Familiarity with VPCs, subnets, firewalls, load balancers, and hybrid connectivity.

. AI Integration: Good understanding of building AI agents and integrating them into workflows where applicable, including MCP and A2A communication. Familiarity with Vertex AI, GCP Agent space, and Gemini is preferred.

. API Integration: Experience in working with GCP APIs and integrating with external systems.
