Wintel Engineer (System Engineer)

Key Responsibilities:

• Carry out the installation, configuration, testing, and upkeep of endpoint hardware and images, which include, but are not limited to, the Operating System, Software/Applications, Drivers, as well as upgrades, updates, and hotfixes.
• Plan, implement, and provide support for Patch Management and Software Distribution services.
• Design, implement, and uphold AWS or AZURE infrastructure and services, ensuring that applications are scalable, secure, and highly available.
• Deploy, configure, and manage various AWS or AZURE services including EC2 instances, VPC, S3, RDS, Lambda, IAM, Azure App Services, Azure SQL Database, and Azure Functions.
• Work closely with development teams to architect and launch cloud-native applications.
• Establish and maintain automation and infrastructure-as-code (IaC) utilizing tools such as CloudFormation or Terraform.
• Troubleshoot and address issues related to AWS or Azure infrastructure, applications, and connectivity, while also implementing backup and disaster recovery strategies for AWS or Azure resources.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree or Diploma in Electrical/Electronic/Computer Engineering or Information Systems.
• A minimum of 5 years’ experience with Windows Servers, Active Directory, PowerShell, Group Policy Objects, and Workplace Management Tools (e.g., HC BigFix, MS SCCM, Citrix VDI, Nexthink, etc.).
• Comprehensive knowledge of PC Imaging Deployment, Patch Management, and Software Distribution for both desktop and server systems.
• Experience in deploying similar functionalities, such as HCL Big Fix, MS SCCM, Citrix VDI, Nexthink, etc.
• Extensive understanding of AWS and Azure services and architecture, along with familiarity with infrastructure-as-code tools like CloudFormation or Terraform.
• Strong grasp of networking concepts and best practices for security in AWS and Azure environments.
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines and version control systems (e.g., Git), coupled with scripting skills in Python, Shell, or other relevant programming languages.
