Our client is a reputable A1 Main Contractor with an impressive history of executing significant building and infrastructure projects in Singapore. To support ongoing project expansion, they are seeking Senior Quantity Surveyors to become part of their commercial division.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct pre- and post-contract quantity surveying and commercial management tasks.
• Develop and assess tender documents, bills of quantities, cost estimates, and tender evaluations.
• Identify, assess, and negotiate with subcontractors and suppliers.
• Oversee subcontract administration, progress claims, variations, payments, and final accounts.
• Track project costs, budgets, and commercial performance throughout the project lifecycle.
• Evaluate and review variation orders, extensions of time, loss & expense, and contractual claims.
• Generate cost reports, forecasts, and commercial updates for the project management team.
• Engage with clients, consultants, subcontractors, and suppliers on contractual and commercial issues.
• Spot commercial risks and assist in developing suitable mitigation strategies.
• Ensure all documentation is complete and aligns with contractual stipulations.
• Assist the Project Manager and commercial team in meeting project cost and contractual goals.

Qualifications

• Degree / Diploma in Quantity Surveying, Building, Construction Management, or a related field.
• Relevant experience in building construction, civil engineering, or infrastructure projects.
• Comprehensive knowledge of measurement, tendering, contract administration, cost control, and subcontract management.
• Experience with variation orders, progress claims, final accounts, and contractual claims.
• Strong understanding of construction contracts and commercial practices in Singapore.
• Excellent negotiation, analytical, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
• Candidates with backgrounds from main contractors, developers, or QS consultancies are encouraged to apply.

• Location: Based on project assignment (HQ / South / North)
• Working hours: 5 Days
• Salary: Up to S$6,500 plus Bonus (Salary commensurate with experience & qualifications)
