Position Summary

A prominent high-tech manufacturing company is enhancing its operations in Singapore and is seeking a senior technical expert to manage the Architecture and Civil elements of a significant facility development initiative.

You will play a pivotal role in providing technical leadership throughout the project lifecycle, from the design phase to construction, commissioning, and operational handover. This position requires close collaboration with EPC contractors, consultants, vendors, and internal teams to ensure the facility is delivered safely, efficiently, and in alignment with operational needs.

Primary Responsibilities

. Oversee Architecture and Civil technical aspects throughout the project lifecycle.

. Assess and provide technical feedback on design submissions, RFIs, and suggested design modifications.

. Analyze proposed solutions from technical, cost, schedule, operational, and maintainability viewpoints.

. Offer technical advice on site planning, building layouts, structural design, foundations, floor loading, and vibration control.

. Review specifications related to utilities corridors and cleanroom support infrastructure.

. Take part in design safety, constructability, risk, and value engineering assessments.

. Ensure that designs facilitate long-term operations, maintenance, and future expansions.

. Collaborate closely with EPC contractors, consultants, and vendors to address technical challenges and design interfaces.

. Engage with Production, Process Engineering, Facilities, and EHS teams.

. Assist with regulatory submissions, authority approvals, and adherence to statutory compliance.

. Provide technical assistance during construction, commissioning, and facility handover.

Qualifications

. Bachelor’s degree in Architecture, Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering, or a related field.

. A minimum of 8 years of experience in industrial, semiconductor, pharmaceutical, biomedical, data center, or other high-tech facility projects.

. Experience encompassing design review, project execution, construction support, and commissioning.

. In-depth knowledge of architecture, civil, and structural systems for industrial facilities.

. Proficiency in site planning, structural design, foundations, floor loading, and vibration control.

. Familiarity with Singapore building regulations and authority approval procedures.

. Experience with EPC project delivery, design management, and change management processes.

. Professional Architect or Professional Engineer registration is a plus.

. Experience with BIM tools such as Revit and Navisworks is a valuable asset.
