SYSTEM DEPLOYMENT ENGINEER

Position Title: System Deployment Engineer (Linux, Windows, Kubernetes, Networking)

Position Overview:

We are looking for a skilled Infrastructure Engineer to enhance our data center operations, oversee hardware deployment, manage Kubernetes environments, and handle networking duties. The successful applicant will possess advanced knowledge in both Linux and Windows systems, Kubernetes cluster oversight, network troubleshooting, and scripting capabilities.

Primary Duties:

Data Center Operations & Hardware Management:

• Set up, configure, and sustain hardware within a data center setting, including servers, network switches, storage arrays, and HSMs.
• Manage fiber optic and copper cabling (Cat5e/Cat6/Cat6a), including termination (RJ45, LC, SC connectors) and testing procedures.
• Conduct regular hardware diagnostics and troubleshooting as needed.

Kubernetes & Server Oversight:

• Implement and administer Kubernetes clusters in both bare metal and virtualized settings.
• Resolve issues associated with container orchestration and workload management.
• Enhance Kubernetes performance and security protocols.

Networking & Security Management:

• Set up and troubleshoot network switches, VLANs, subnetting, IP addressing, and routing.
• Perform analysis on network performance and address connectivity challenges.
• Utilize network security tools and configurations effectively.

System Administration & Automation:

• Oversee and manage Linux and Windows operating systems.
• Create and maintain automation scripts for deployment, configuration, and system monitoring.
• Enhance system performance, security, and availability.

Essential Skills & Qualifications:

• In-depth knowledge of Linux and Windows administration.
• Experience with Kubernetes cluster implementation and management.
• Proficiency in networking, including VLAN, subnetting, IP addressing, routing, and troubleshooting.
• Hands-on experience in hardware deployment within a data center setting, including cabling and connectivity troubleshooting.
• Skilled in scripting (e.g., Bash, Python, or PowerShell) for automation and system administration tasks.

Desired Qualifications:

• Familiarity with containerization tools (Docker, Helm).
• Understanding of cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) is advantageous.
• Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines for automated deployment processes.
• Certifications such as RHCE, CKAD/CKA, CCNA, or equivalent are preferred.
