Supplier Quality Manager

Core Responsibilities:

• Concentrate on assessing, monitoring, and overseeing the performance of the company's suppliers.
• Plan, manage, and review supplier performance metrics.
• Analyze and improve the performance, quality, and compliance of suppliers.
• Ensure adherence to quality consistency as per COA/standards.
• Identify potential risks, gaps, and areas for enhancement.
• Foster trust and enhance collaboration with suppliers.
• Communicate and elaborate on the findings from performance evaluations to all relevant process stakeholders.
• Compile all evaluation components into a comprehensive and coherent document.
• Assess the current maturity level of suppliers and determine if a higher maturity level is necessary.
• Identify the gap between the existing supplier status and the desired state, providing a graphical representation of the gap and quantifying it where possible.
• Develop tactical and strategic recommendations with detailed insights to support informed decision-making (e.g., costs, benefits, risks, timelines, priorities, implementation strategies, etc.).

Qualifications

Desired Experience: 

• A minimum of 7 years in inspecting chemicals and packaging materials, particularly within the manufacturing sector.
• Proficient knowledge of international regulations and standards relevant to the company, including ISO 13485.
• Technical expertise in Material Controls and Quality Management Systems.
• Experience collaborating across functions such as Quality Systems, Operations, Manufacturing Engineering, Sourcing, Regulatory, and Technical departments.
• Experience in project management.

Minimum Qualifications: 

• Bachelor's degree with experience in material controls and supplier quality audits.
• Understanding of quality management systems and analysis.
• Strong grasp of materials and manufacturing processes.
• Excellent presentation abilities.
• Exceptional communication skills.
• Willingness to travel up to 50% of the time.
• Knowledge of Lean/SPC/Six Sigma methodologies is a plus.
• Proficient computer skills required, including Excel, Word, Project, and PowerPoint.
