Sharepoint Developer (Location: West)

Our client is in search of a proactive Digital Workplace Engineer to facilitate the migration to SharePoint and create effective solutions utilizing SharePoint Online, Power Apps, and Power Automate.

This position will primarily concentrate on transferring content, sites, and workflows from outdated systems such as SharePoint 2013 and SG-DCS to SharePoint Online, while also designing and supporting business applications and workflows.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist with the SharePoint migration process, including content assessment, mapping, migration, validation, and issue resolution.
• Utilize tools like ShareGate or Microsoft Migration Manager to perform and verify migration activities.
• Set up and manage SharePoint Online sites, libraries, lists, metadata, permissions, and navigation structures.
• Create and sustain Power Apps and Power Automate solutions for business workflows.
• Develop or enhance lightweight SharePoint components using JavaScript/TypeScript, SPFx, or related technologies.
• Diagnose and resolve migration, access, workflow, and application-related issues.
• Support testing phases, cutover processes, post-migration assistance, and user validation activities.
• Collaborate with business users and technical stakeholders to gather requirements and provide effective solutions.
• Document technical specifications, test scripts, user manuals, and migration progress updates.

Qualifications

• 2–3 years of practical experience with SharePoint, Microsoft 365, and/or the Power Platform.
• In-depth knowledge of SharePoint Online, including sites, document libraries, lists, metadata, and permissions.
• Hands-on experience in SharePoint migration, including assessment, execution, validation, or remediation processes.
• Proficient in using Power Apps and Power Automate.
• Familiarity with ShareGate, Microsoft Migration Manager, or comparable migration tools is strongly preferred.
• Basic skills in JavaScript or TypeScript development.
• Capable of systematically troubleshooting issues and collaborating directly with users and technical teams.
• Excellent documentation, testing, and communication abilities.
• A practical, hands-on approach combined with a willingness to learn and accept guidance.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with SharePoint 2013, SharePoint Server, SG-DCS, or other legacy platforms.
• Knowledge of SPFx, React, Microsoft Graph, or REST APIs.
• Experience in supporting UAT, migration cutover, or hypercare phases.
• Familiarity with Microsoft Lists, Forms, Dataverse, Power BI, or Copilot.
• Understanding of information governance, records management, retention, and access control practices.
• Background in government, regulated, or security-sensitive environments.
