Core Responsibilities
Location: Onsite
- Exhibits expertise in subject matter and teaching methodologies to effectively instruct students in Mandarin.
- Assists in developing and managing curriculum and study courses to promote student growth.
- Encourages innovative study practices among students to spark their interest and maintain consistent study habits.
- Provides practical insights into the curriculum to enhance engagement.
- Formulates lesson plans aligned with curriculum standards and submits them to academic coordinators for validation.
- Designs lessons centered on inquiry, emphasizing conceptual comprehension, tailored to accommodate all learners, and guided by both formative and summative assessments.
- Evaluates feedback from academic coordinators and adjusts lesson plans as necessary.
- Stays informed about the latest educational tools, including technology integration in classroom settings, and incorporates these into teaching practices.
- Creates stimulating and challenging learning experiences for students, cultivating a classroom environment that supports educational growth.
- Develops worksheets, handouts, and additional learning resources consistent with the lesson plan, curriculum, assessments, and examinations.
- Ensures timely evaluation and feedback on student assignments.
- Engages in mentoring and supervising the Extended Essay component of the IB for Mandarin Language.
- Guarantee the emotional and physical safety of all students in care.
- Maintain an understanding of safeguarding and child protection procedures.
- Quickly report any concerns regarding student safety, welfare, or well-being to the relevant school authorities.
- Uphold confidentiality while prioritizing the child's best interests at all times.
- Bachelor's Degree in Education with a specialization in Mandarin Language.
- 3-5 years of experience teaching within the IB framework.
- Master's Degree in the subject along with an International Teaching Qualification certificate recognized for accreditation by the IB educational system.
- Proficiency in computer applications necessary for educational software use.
- Strong skills in applying technology effectively.
- Capability to facilitate Blended and Hybrid Learning environments.
- Competent in implementing the principles of Digital Pedagogy.
