Senior/Lead Java Automation Engineer
Job Description
Responsibilities
Develop and execute test strategies, plans, and procedures for complex software platforms.
Create, enhance, and maintain strong automated testing frameworks and scripts using RestAssured.
Work closely with Engineering, DevOps, and Product teams to support dependable, high-quality software releases.
Lead ongoing enhancements across QA practices, tools, and testing methodologies.
Review and interpret test outcomes, determine root causes, and deliver clear, actionable recommendations.
Maintain adherence to relevant industry standards and regulatory requirements where applicable.
Skills
Must have
6–10 years of experience in software testing, with a strong focus on automation script development using RestAssured
Strong knowledge of programming/scripting languages (e.g., Java preferred).
Hands-on experience with API testing tools (preferably: REST Assured), Postman, ReadyAPI, etc.,
Experience working with CI/CD pipelines and tools such as Jenkins, Git, and Azure DevOps.
Thorough understanding of Agile/Scrum methodologies.
Excellent problem-solving, communication, and leadership skills.
Strong knowledge in Selenium (Java)
Nice to have
ISTQB Advanced Level or equivalent certification.
Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP).
Airline Domain knowledge is a plus
