Workday HCM Consultant

Job Summary

The Technology Architect will architect and continuously improve Workday HCM solutions for a global organization operating in a hybrid work model. This position emphasizes scalable, future-ready architectures that strengthen workforce management capabilities and protect data integrity. The role focuses on converting intricate business requirements into reliable Workday configurations and integrations, with meaningful impact across online experiences and finance and accounting operations. You will also ensure long-term reliability and sustainability of the Workday ecosystem.

Responsibilities

• Design scalable Workday HCM architectures that follow enterprise standards and enable long term growth of human capital management capabilities across the organization
• Create detailed solution designs for core Workday HCM modules to ensure accurate data flows efficient business processes and consistent configuration practices
• Lead end to end Workday HCM implementations and enhancements by partnering with functional consultants and technical teams to deliver high quality outcomes
• Enhance existing Workday HCM configurations by assessing usage patterns and recommending improvements that increase usability performance and data quality
• Produce thorough technical design documents and configuration guidelines for Workday HCM to provide clear direction to implementation and support teams
• Assess integration requirements and design Workday interfaces with internal systems to ensure dependable data exchange across workforce online operations and finance and accounting processes
• Advise on Workday security configuration to support compliance protect sensitive employee information and grant appropriate access for global user communities
• Review new Workday features and releases, then propose adoption strategies that expand business capabilities while reducing disruption to ongoing operations
• Work with stakeholders to convert complex workforce online and finance and accounting requirements into Workday technical solutions that deliver measurable business value
• Participate in testing cycles by defining technical test scenarios reviewing results and driving the resolution of defects related to Workday HCM architecture and integrations
• Mentor implementation and support teams on Workday HCM best practices to maintain consistent solution quality and sustainable application health
• Coordinate incident analysis for Workday HCM concerns by identifying root causes and defining corrective actions that prevent recurrence and improve system stability
• Define and document technical standards and architectural patterns for Workday HCM to promote reuse of proven design approaches across multiple initiatives

Qualifications

• Demonstrate extensive hands on experience in Workday HCM configuration and solution design for at least eight years in complex enterprise environments
• Use strong knowledge of Workday HCM business processes including workforce administration absence management performance and compensation to design high effectiveness solutions
• Apply experience with online transactional environments to shape Workday architectures that support digital employee interactions and self service capabilities
• Bring familiarity with finance and accounting domains to align Workday HCM data structures with downstream financial reporting and compliance requirements
• Show capability in requirements analysis and documentation to capture business needs and translate them into clear Workday HCM technical specifications
• Demonstrate skills in data mapping and interface design to support integrations between Workday HCM and internal applications while preserving data consistency
• Use strong problem solving and analytical abilities to troubleshoot complex Workday issues and recommend practical architectural enhancements
• Apply effective communication and collaboration skills within a hybrid work model to coordinate with stakeholders during design workshops reviews and solution walkthroughs
• Have experience following structured Workday implementation methodologies including testing deployment and post go live stabilization activities
• Maintain awareness of the Workday HCM roadmap and human capital technology industry trends to propose innovations that support organizational and societal impact
