Job Summary

We are seeking a Functional Lead for SAP Order To Cash (OTC) with VC to lead OTC process design, SAP EDI and IDOC mapping, and credit management. The role supports an MNC operating under a hybrid work model, driving complex business transformations across finance and accounting and industrial manufacturing to deliver robust OTC solutions that strengthen cash flow, enhance customer experience, and improve operational efficiency across global operations.

Responsibilities

• Own end-to-end design of SAP OTC VC processes to ensure reliable order capture, fulfillment, billing, and collection workflows that meet business goals and compliance requirements within a day shift hybrid work environment.
• Perform fit-gap analysis for OTC requirements by converting stakeholder expectations into clear functional solutions that leverage S4 HANA OTC basic information system capabilities to improve data accuracy and cycle time.
• Coordinate configuration of key OTC components, including pricing, partner functions, delivery, and billing rules, to maintain dependable, scalable order processing aligned with finance and accounting controls.
• Manage SAP EDI and IDOC mapping for OTC scenarios by defining message structures and mapping rules that enable seamless integration between internal systems and external partners without impacting business continuity.
• Analyze existing IDOC flows and error logs to determine root causes of failures, and implement preventive fixes to reduce transaction rework and improve customer satisfaction.
• Enhance S4 HANA OTC basic information system reporting and analytics so business stakeholders receive timely visibility into order status, backlog, billing performance, and key metrics to support informed decision making.
• Administer and improve OTC credit management processes in S4 HANA by defining risk categories, credit checks, and release strategies that safeguard company cash flow while supporting sustainable sales growth.
• Partner with finance and accounting teams to align revenue recognition, billing rules, and credit management practices within OTC to meet statutory requirements and internal audit expectations.
• Collaborate with industrial manufacturing operations to map make-to-order and make-to-stock scenarios into OTC flows that reflect production constraints, delivery commitments, and customer service targets.
• Develop clear functional specifications and test cases for technical teams to support enhancements and integrations, ensuring that developments in S4 HANA OTC and EDI environments remain maintainable and traceable.
• Lead user acceptance testing for OTC and EDI changes by coordinating test cycles, validating results, and ensuring business users are confident in new functionality prior to deployment.
• Provide support for incident resolution and change requests in production OTC landscapes by prioritizing issues, investigating root causes, and implementing solutions to stabilize operations and minimize downtime.
• Create and maintain process documentation, training materials, and knowledge transfer activities so OTC users, support teams, and stakeholders can adopt new capabilities with minimal disruption to business performance.

Qualifications

• Have six to ten years of hands-on functional experience in S4 HANA OTC, covering order management, delivery, billing, and basic information system features in complex enterprise environments.
• Demonstrate advanced expertise in SAP EDI and IDOC mapping for OTC, including configuration of partner profiles and message control to support high-volume electronic document exchange with customers and partners.
• Bring strong practical knowledge of OTC credit management in S4 HANA, including defining credit rules, integrating with financial postings, and using monitoring tools to manage exposure.
• Apply a strong understanding of SAP OTC basic information system reporting and analytics to design meaningful dashboards and reports that help stakeholders manage order-to-cash performance.
• Provide domain experience in finance and accounting by linking OTC processes with posting logic, reconciliation activities, and financial closes to ensure accuracy of revenue and receivables.
• Utilize exposure to the industrial manufacturing domain to model complex order scenarios, delivery constraints, and logistics considerations effectively within the OTC process landscape.
• Use strong communication and analytical skills to engage cross-functional teams, gather requirements, and present clear recommendations aligned to business objectives in a hybrid work setting.

Certifications Required

SAP Certified Application Associate in S4 HANA Sales or equivalent OTC certification is preferred for this functional lead role.
