Senior Technician - Wafer Backend Process and Equipment Maintenance

• Accountable for the maintenance and enhancement of the wafer backend/coating procedures.
• Carry out process engineering responsibilities and provide support to production to achieve process Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) – Output, Quality, and Scrap Cost.
• Oversee, sustain, and validate processes, equipment, tools, and fixtures utilized in production.
• Conduct regular assessments and process-related decisions.
• Prior experience with wafer backend processes is highly beneficial for this role, as it will improve the candidate’s capability in executing precise and accurate equipment setups.
• Possess strong observational skills to detect inconsistencies, comprehend the manufacturing process intricately, troubleshoot effectively, and engage senior team members as necessary.
• Demonstrate effective communication abilities to interact and collaborate with colleagues, fostering teamwork.
• Exhibit emotional intelligence.
• Implement Continuous Improvement initiatives and optimize resource utilization.
• Undertake additional responsibilities as assigned by the immediate supervisor as needed.
• Program, diagnose, and maintain manufacturing process equipment to achieve the specified yield targets.

JOB REQUIREMENTS:

• Engineering diploma, preferably with a focus in Mechatronics/Mechanical/Electrical.
• At least 5 years of experience in the semiconductor industry; a minimum of 8 years in a high-mix, high-volume manufacturing environment is a distinct advantage.
• Able to work independently on a 12-hour shift and resolve basic technical problems.
• Proficient in computer skills, with knowledge of SPC and OPAC.
• Must demonstrate strong analytical abilities and a hands-on working approach.
• Flexible and adaptable to the rapid changes in the company's operational needs.
• Solid understanding of mechanical dimensioning & tolerancing analysis, with knowledge of poka-yoke principles considered an advantage.
• Familiarity with semiconductor wafer backend manufacturing processes is preferred, including Coating, Die Saw, Scribe, and Cleave processes.
• Support engineers and carry out any other tasks as directed by the immediate supervisor as required.
