SENIOL MOL PROCESS ENGINEER (Based in Ipoh)

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Develop and assess the process capability alongside the capacity and productivity model.
• Comprehensively define and characterize the assigned process.
• Establish the Process Control Plan (PCP) and enhance critical process capabilities as outlined in the process control plan, product drawings/specifications, and Bill of Materials (BOM).
• Thoroughly understand the essential controls, equipment, precautions, and setup parameters necessary to adhere to product specifications.
• Utilize lean manufacturing methodologies to minimize waste within the production process and execute yield improvement initiatives.
• Oversee the process yields for the assigned process and implement all relevant actions to enhance these yields.
• Conduct gauge repeatability & reliability studies, correlation studies, and take actions to improve these capabilities. Develop reaction plans for Out of Control (OOC) situations.
• Support manufacturing personnel with operator training, qualification, and boost operator utilization and productivity while also reducing inventory.
• Exhibit strong communication skills to effectively interface with colleagues and foster teamwork.
• Demonstrate emotional intelligence.
• Drive continuous improvement and resource utilization.
• Perform additional tasks as assigned by the immediate supervisor as necessary.
• Implement Risk-Based Thinking in the planning and execution of tasks.
• Ensure compliance with ISO standards, company policies, regulations, and applicable codes.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Science/Engineering, preferably in Electronics, Photonics, Mechanical, or Mechatronics.
• Preferably specialized in Electrical, Electronics, Telecommunication, Mechatronics, or Mechanical Engineering.
• At least 5 years of experience in a related industry, particularly in a mass production setting. Experience in a fiber optic transceiver manufacturing environment is a significant advantage.
• Proficient in computer applications, particularly those related to Statistical Process Control (SPC).
• Must demonstrate strong data analytical skills and possess a hands-on working attitude.
• Ability to adapt and respond flexibly to rapid business changes.
• Solid understanding of mechanical dimensioning & tolerancing analysis and poka-yoke principles is a plus.
