Senior Quality Engineer (Based in Ipoh)

• Reports directly to the QA Manager.
• Evaluate and recommend enhancements to the effectiveness and efficiency of Quality Control procedures.
• Own and manage QA product/process health indicators and DPPM reports, analyzing QA/Test and process failures to implement systematic corrective actions.
• Participate in cross-functional teams focused on improving product quality and reliability during both startup and ongoing activities.
• Conduct defects verification, manage lot disposition, oversee shipment blocking/approval, and generate/close Internal Corrective Action Requests (ICAR).
• Accountable for technical evaluations, New Product Introduction (NPI) support, implementing and monitoring corrective actions, and generating reports.
• Collaborate closely with the NPI Team to coordinate the transition of products to mass production.
• Lead continuous improvement initiatives by identifying test/process issues that contribute to quality problems, determining root causes, and implementing solutions.
• Analyze and address all customer-reported issues, ensuring the implementation of containment and corrective actions.
• Follow up on specific issues as directed by the Quality Manager.

JOB REQUIREMENTS:

• Bachelor's Degree in Science or Engineering, ideally with a focus on Mechatronics or Mechanical Engineering.
• Experience in managing quality-related matters across incoming, in-process, and outgoing stages.
• Proficient in reading mechanical drawings and understanding GD&T.
• Familiarity with mechanical CAD software, such as Solidworks and e-drawing.
• Good computer skills along with a foundational knowledge of Statistical Process Control (SPC).
• Demonstrates strong analytical abilities coupled with a hands-on approach to work.
• Must be adaptable and flexible in response to the evolving business needs of the organization.
• Experience in high-mix, high-volume manufacturing environments, including assembly, SMT, and PCBA, is a plus.
• Knowledge of mechanical dimensioning & tolerancing analysis and poka-yoke principles will be advantageous.
