Senior Product Quality Engineer

• Reports directly to the QA Manager.
• Evaluate and suggest enhancements to increase the effectiveness and efficiency of Quality Control (QC) procedures.
• Own and manage quality assurance product/process health indicators and Defective Parts Per Million (DPPM) reports, as well as analyze QA/Test and Process failures to implement systematic corrective measures.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams on projects aimed at improving product quality and reliability during both start-up and sustaining phases.
• Verify defects, manage lot dispositions, oversee shipment blocking/approval, and generate/close Internal Corrective Action Requests (ICAR).
• Accountable for technical evaluations, New Product Introduction (NPI) support, implementing and monitoring corrective actions, and generating reports.
• Work closely with the NPI team to coordinate the transition of products to mass production.
• Lead continuous improvement initiatives by identifying test/process issues that contribute to quality concerns, determining root causes, and executing implementations.
• Analyze and address all customer-reported issues, ensuring the implementation of containment and corrective actions.
• Follow up on specific problems as directed by the Quality Manager.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in Science or Engineering, preferably with a focus on Mechatronics or Mechanical Engineering.
• Experience in managing quality-related issues throughout incoming, in-process, and outgoing stages.
• Ability to comprehend mechanical drawings and Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T).
• Familiarity with mechanical CAD software, such as SolidWorks and e-drawing.
• Proficient in computer skills with a basic understanding of Statistical Process Control (SPC).
• Strong analytical skills coupled with a hands-on working attitude are essential.
• Must be adaptable and flexible to meet the rapidly changing business needs of the organization.
• Experience in high-mix and high-volume manufacturing environments, as well as assembly, Surface Mount Technology (SMT), or Printed Circuit Board Assembly (PCBA) manufacturing, is a plus.
• Good knowledge of mechanical dimensioning & tolerancing analysis and poka-yoke principles will be advantageous.
