Senior MECM / SCCM Administrator

Position Summary

We are in search of a Senior MECM/SCCM Administrator to oversee the administration, support, enhancement, and governance of Microsoft Endpoint Configuration Manager (MECM/SCCM) within a large-scale enterprise setting.

This position will concentrate on endpoint management, software distribution, operating system deployment, patch management, compliance, platform health, automation, and Level 3 troubleshooting. The ideal candidate will possess extensive hands-on experience with MECM/SCCM as well as proficiency in PowerShell and contemporary endpoint management technologies.

Main Duties

• Administer, sustain, and refine the enterprise MECM/SCCM infrastructure.
• Oversee software distribution, application deployment, collections, compliance, and endpoint configurations.
• Design and facilitate Windows OS deployment using task sequences, boot images, driver packages, and OS images.
• Plan and carry out monthly security patching, software updates, and vulnerability remediation.
• Package, validate, deploy, and troubleshoot enterprise applications.
• Monitor and resolve issues related to Management Points, Distribution Points, Software Update Points, boundaries, boundary groups, and client health.
• Provide Level 3 troubleshooting for deployment, patching, client health, content distribution, policy processing, and task-sequence challenges.
• Create PowerShell scripts for automation, reporting, diagnostics, health checks, and remediation efforts.
• Facilitate integration with Microsoft Intune and co-management strategies.
• Collaborate with security teams to establish endpoint security baselines and address vulnerabilities.
• Assist with endpoint lifecycle activities, including provisioning, refreshing, software distribution, configuration changes, and decommissioning.
• Utilize ServiceNow for managing incidents, problems, changes, and service requests.
• Prepare endpoint inventory, compliance, operational health, and audit reports.
• Maintain technical documentation, standard operating procedures (SOPs), platform standards, and recovery protocols.
• Collaborate effectively with infrastructure, security, workplace, application, and service-management teams.
• Offer technical guidance to junior administrators and remote support teams.

Essential Skills & Experience

• 8+ years of experience in enterprise endpoint management and infrastructure administration.
• Extensive hands-on experience with Microsoft MECM/SCCM / Configuration Manager.
• In-depth understanding of MECM/SCCM architecture, client management, software deployment, OS deployment, patching, collections, reporting, and compliance.
• Strong troubleshooting capabilities across Management Points, Distribution Points, Software Update Points, boundaries, boundary groups, client health, and task sequences.
• Demonstrated expertise in PowerShell scripting and automation.
• Experience with Microsoft Intune and co-management practices.
• Solid understanding of WSUS, Active Directory, Group Policy, PKI, DNS, and Windows Server.
• Experience in application packaging and deployment using MSI, PSADT, or equivalent tools.
• Knowledge of endpoint security, vulnerability management, and compliance standards.
• Familiarity with Microsoft Defender and vulnerability-management tools like Qualys.
• Experience with ServiceNow or similar IT service management platforms.
• Strong analytical, troubleshooting, documentation, and stakeholder management abilities.
• Experience in banking, financial services, or another highly regulated enterprise environment is preferred.

Preferred Qualifications

• Microsoft certification related to Endpoint Administration, Intune, Windows, or Microsoft 365.
• ITIL certification.
• Experience with modern endpoint management and hybrid environments.
• Experience in supporting large or globally distributed endpoint environments.
