Quality Operations Lead

Position Summary

Oversee daily quality assurance operations for multimodal AI annotation initiatives. Reporting directly to the Quality Manager, you will supervise QA teams, track quality metrics, address issues promptly, and ensure that all deliverables align with client standards within strict deadlines.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities

• Manage Senior QA Leads and QA Leads across various shifts to ensure optimal performance.
• Establish review priorities, sampling strategies, and maintain comprehensive quality coverage.
• Design and execute audits, develop scoring rubrics, and lead calibration sessions to ensure consistency.
• Monitor key performance indicators such as accuracy, agreement levels, error rates, review throughput, and turnaround times.
• Identify root causes of issues and collaborate with Team Leads to implement effective corrective measures.
• Address guideline-related inquiries and document all decisions for transparency and consistency.
• Provide insights on quality metrics following each project delivery.
• Report on quality performance metrics to the Quality Manager regularly.
• Assist with client review processes and support quality-based incentive initiatives.

Essential Qualifications

• 5 to 7 years of professional experience, including 2 to 3 years in leading QA or quality operations teams.
• In-depth understanding of sampling, auditing, calibration, and root-cause analysis methodologies.
• Exceptional attention to detail with the capability to identify systemic issues efficiently.
• Excellent communication skills and experience managing stakeholder relationships.
• Prior experience in annotation, data labeling, or AI training data projects is advantageous.

Position Details:

1. This is a project-based engagement involving a specific number of evaluation tasks.
2. Each task requires comparing multiple chatbots and delivering a final assessment.
3. Work Schedule: Five days per week, including weekends as needed, with two days off.
4. Working Hours: 7:00 AM to 4:00 PM PST
5. Contract Duration: 16 weeks.
