System Analyst - Banking

About the Role

We are seeking a seasoned System Analyst to join a banking-related project.

The selected candidate will deliver system analysis, application integration, technical solution design, deployment support, environment management, and production support. You will collaborate closely with business stakeholders and technical teams to drive successful project delivery across the full application lifecycle.

Key Responsibilities

• Engage in the complete project lifecycle, ensuring technical solutions align with business requirements and meet project timelines.
• Assess existing systems, determine technical gaps, and propose suitable system enhancements.
• Own application integration activities and provide technical solutioning aligned to project requirements.
• Examine technical specifications, system documentation, and solution designs.
• Coordinate and assist with application deployment, code migration, and implementation tasks.
• Handle project environment issues, support application availability, and maintain uptime.
• Review, investigate, troubleshoot, and resolve application problems and production incidents.
• Conduct root cause analysis and liaise with relevant technical teams to ensure timely issue resolution.
• Support system testing, implementation, and post-deployment validation.
• Partner with business users, developers, infrastructure teams, and other stakeholders.
• Provide technical support during high-importance implementation periods, including outside normal office hours when required.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree or Professional Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Software Engineering or a related discipline.
• Minimum 3 years of working experience as a System Analyst or in a related technical role.
• Experience in banking, financial services or financial applications will be an added advantage.
• Strong knowledge of application integration, system analysis and technical solutioning.
• Experience in the full application lifecycle within a distributed system design and development environment.
• Hands-on exposure to code migration, deployment, implementation and environment management.
• Experience in production support, incident management and technical troubleshooting.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving and communication skills.
• Able to work independently and collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
• Adaptable to a fast-paced working environment and willing to embrace new technologies.
• Willing to support critical project activities outside normal working hours when required.

Contract Details

• 15-month contract engagement.
• Work location: Kelana Jaya (Nearby LRT)
• Open to Malaysian candidates only.
