Project Engineer (IoT Projects)

Position Summary

We are seeking a Project Engineer to assist in the deployment of IoT and smart equipment projects within various school locations. This position entails performing site surveys, creating Bills of Materials (BOM), coordinating installation efforts, and aiding in the integration and commissioning of equipment.

## Responsibilities

# Site Survey & Evaluation

- Execute thorough site surveys at educational institutions to evaluate infrastructure and identify smart equipment needs

- Record site conditions, technical specifications, and possible implementation obstacles

- Identify the best locations for sensors and equipment (Energy Meters, Water Meters, occupancy sensors, temperature sensors, IoT controllers)

# BOM Creation

- Develop precise BOMs based on findings from site surveys

- Ensure compliance with project specifications, budget constraints, and technical standards

- Collaborate with equipment suppliers to ensure timely availability of materials

# Installation Oversight & Coordination

- Organize and manage installation activities in collaboration with subcontractors

- Offer technical direction and clear guidelines to subcontractors

- Carry out site inspections to oversee progress and quality

- Confirm adherence to safety regulations, school policies, and quality standards

# IoT Platform Integration

- Supervise the integration of installed smart devices with the IoT platform

- Collaborate with technical teams on the configuration, testing, and commissioning processes

- Partner with the IoT Platform team to resolve connectivity and integration challenges

# Stakeholder Engagement

- Communicate with school officials to arrange site visits, installations, and testing schedules

- Update stakeholders on project progress and manage their expectations

- Foster positive relationships with school personnel, subcontractors, and internal teams

- Address stakeholder inquiries in a professional and timely manner

# Documentation & Reporting

- Ensure thorough project documentation is maintained (site survey reports, installation logs, integration test results)

- Provide consistent progress updates to project managers

- Prepare final handover documentation at project closure

## Qualifications

# Experience & Education

- 1-3 years of relevant work experience

- Diploma or Degree in Electrical/Electronic Engineering, Computer Engineering, Building Services, or a similar field is preferred

- Background or interest in IoT, facilities management, building automation, or engineering projects is desirable

- Familiarity with Ministry of Education (MOE) projects or educational environments is a plus

# Technical Expertise

- Understanding of (or eagerness to learn about) IoT devices, sensors, and building automation systems

- Basic knowledge of network connectivity and system integration

- Proficient in MS Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) for effective documentation and reporting

- Capability to rapidly adapt to new technologies and systems
