Assignment Overview

Located at the dynamic crossroads of design, entertainment, and technology, our distinctive team is comprised of individuals with diverse backgrounds, experiences, and interests. This small, proactive group is dedicated to developing tools that enhance workflows across various business sectors, where the realms of creative production and software engineering converge.

You will be responsible for constructing and refining a portfolio of native macOS applications that facilitate design production. Each project begins with clearly defined parameters and concludes with a deployed build, following the team’s established procedures for building, signing, releasing, and testing.

In addition to development, you will manage maintenance tasks, address defects, refactor code, and perform rebuilds throughout each project's lifecycle. Your responsibilities will encompass native macOS tools, Adobe design applications, and Python scripts for file processing.

You will also explore new methodologies within this technology stack as they develop, validating each approach against actual production requirements rather than theoretical scenarios.

Furthermore, you will create automation and integrations based on production needs identified by content design stakeholders, transforming their requirements into practical tools that function reliably in daily operations. Each task is defined and delivered independently, with any necessary revisions integrated into the workflow.

Essential Qualifications

• Proficient in Swift, with a track record of building and deploying native macOS applications.
• Familiar with the Xcode build and release processes.
• Experienced in programmatically processing, exporting, or manipulating video or images (e.g., AVFoundation, Core Image).
• Knowledgeable in SwiftUI and contemporary Swift concurrency (async/await).
• A creative and open-minded approach to problem-solving, with a genuine interest in new technologies and their potential to transform existing workflows, along with a readiness to incorporate new tools into daily practices.
• Skilled in using Git for version control and collaborative development.
• Excellent communication abilities, capable of engaging directly with non-engineering creative team members.
• Experience with Adobe Creative Cloud applications, including their automation.
• Familiar with Python for extended automation and file processing tasks.
• Knowledge of macOS auto-update frameworks.
• Experience in developing tools for creative, media, or design production teams.

Desirable Qualifications

• Understanding of Apple's Human Interface Guidelines for macOS.
