Platform Engineer

Description

We are looking for an experienced Platform Engineer to join our team. The successful candidate will bring a strong track record in building and operating dependable platform infrastructures, working closely with software development teams, and maintaining the reliability and security of our systems.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain scalable, secure, and highly reliable platform infrastructure.
• Partner with software engineering teams to improve application deployment workflows and support optimal system performance.
• Continuously monitor system performance and troubleshoot incidents to sustain high availability.
• Use scripting and configuration management tools to automate repetitive tasks and operational processes.
• Apply security best practices across platform architecture and day-to-day operations.

Skills and Qualifications

• 5-8 years of experience in platform engineering or a closely related field.
• Strong expertise with cloud platforms including AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.
• Experience with containerization technologies such as Docker, along with orchestration tools like Kubernetes.
• Proficiency in scripting languages including Python, Bash, or PowerShell.
• Working knowledge of CI/CD pipelines and tools such as Jenkins, GitLab CI, or CircleCI.
• Familiarity with infrastructure as code (IaC) tools including Terraform or CloudFormation.
• Understanding of networking fundamentals and protocols, including DNS, TCP/IP, and load balancing.
