Performance Testing

Responsibilities

• Demonstrated, hands-on expertise in performance engineering, covering load, stress, soak, endurance, and scalability testing.
• Capable of creating production-representative workloads based on real-world traffic patterns, user behaviour, transaction distribution, and growth assumptions.
• Skilled in pinpointing performance bottlenecks, capacity constraints, and scalability risks across both application and infrastructure layers.
• Execute chaos experiments under load using approved frameworks and tooling to confirm system resilience and fault tolerance.
• Advanced proficiency with Dynatrace and other observability platforms for deep-dive performance analysis, monitoring, and root cause analysis (RCA).
• Analyze application response times, throughput, latency, CPU, memory, database performance, and supporting infrastructure metrics.
• Set up performance baselines, define SLAs/SLOs, and track system behaviour against agreed performance benchmarks.
• Embed performance and chaos validation within CI/CD pipelines to support shift-left testing and continuous performance engineering.
• Partner with development, DevOps, SRE, and architecture teams to detect, troubleshoot, and resolve performance and reliability issues.
• Assess system behaviour during peak traffic, abrupt traffic spikes, resource exhaustion, and infrastructure failures.
• Automate performance test execution, reporting, and results analysis to increase testing efficiency and repeatability.
• Deliver clear, evidence-based findings, comprehensive RCA reports, and actionable recommendations to delivery teams.
• Lead ongoing improvements to application performance, system stability, scalability, and overall readiness for production.
