Network Security Engineer

Responsibilities

Network Configuration & Administration:

• Revise network diagrams and documentation to facilitate the design and planning of network communication systems. Assess how network requirements influence existing architecture, workflows, and systems. Engage in technical design evaluations for relevant solutions.

Enhance Network Utilization & Performance:

• Aggregate network data based on essential parameters and metrics.
• Assist in formulating capacity planning models and solutions for load balancing and redundancy.
• Oversee the optimization of firewall rules.
• Evaluate facility bandwidth needs and system interdependencies.
• Document network security measures in line with organizational policies.
• Monitor network activities and log technical challenges.
• Stay updated on new software and hardware solutions.

Facilitate Network Security Operations:

• Carry out regular maintenance, patches, and upgrades for the network.
• Develop technical specifications and documentation for procuring network equipment.
• Execute routine backups and manage disaster recovery protocols.
• Support the creation of disaster recovery plans.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree or Diploma in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related discipline, or equivalent practical experience.
• CCNP certification is essential; CCIE certification is considered a significant advantage.
• A minimum of 5 years of hands-on experience in managing and optimizing large-scale enterprise networks.
• Requires extensive expertise in configuration, troubleshooting, and capacity planning across major security and infrastructure platforms, including Palo Alto, Cisco, and Check Point.
• Proficient in Firewalls and Proxy configurations, along with implementation and support.
• Strong background in designing, monitoring, and managing network incidents (LAN, WAN, VPN).
• Experience with switches, load balancers, routers, and ISE is preferred.
• Knowledge of automation scripting is a plus, particularly with tools like Python and Ansible.
• Must be willing to work during nights, weekends, or shifts when necessary.
