Mobile App Developer

Role Overview

We are seeking a skilled Mobile App Developer to become part of our project team. The ideal candidate will take charge of the design, development, integration, testing, and maintenance of mobile applications tailored for our project.

The developer will collaborate closely with project managers, UI/UX designers, backend developers, QA engineers, and business stakeholders to create secure, scalable, and user-friendly mobile applications.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and create high-quality mobile applications for Android and/or iOS platforms.
• Develop new features for mobile applications based on functional and technical specifications.
• Integrate mobile applications with REST APIs, backend services, and third-party systems.
• Work in conjunction with UI/UX teams to create responsive and user-friendly interfaces.
• Conduct application testing, debugging, and troubleshooting.
• Identify and address performance, usability, and technical challenges.
• Ensure applications adhere to mobile security, data protection, and development best practices.
• Perform unit testing, integration testing, and assist with User Acceptance Testing (UAT).
• Collaborate with backend developers to facilitate seamless API and system integration.
• Engage in code reviews and maintain clean, scalable, and reusable code.
• Generate technical documentation and assist with deployment activities.
• Provide application maintenance and production support as needed.
• Adhere to project timelines and ensure deliverables meet established quality standards.

Preferred Experience

• 3–6+ years of mobile application development experience.
• Experience delivering mobile applications for enterprise or government sectors is a plus.
• Familiarity with applications involving large user bases, sensitive data, or transactional workflows is preferred.
• Experience with Malaysian organizations or local government-related projects will be an additional asset.
• Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting capabilities.
• Effective communication and teamwork abilities.

Education

• Bachelor's Degree / Diploma in Computer Science, Information Technology, Software Engineering, or a related discipline.

Additional Technical Requirements

• Strong knowledge of RESTful APIs and JSON.

• Understanding of mobile application security protocols.
• Experience with Git-based version control systems.
• Familiarity with CI/CD and mobile application deployment processes is a plus.
• Experience in integrating third-party SDKs and services.
• Knowledge of application performance optimization techniques.
• Experience with Agile/Scrum development methodologies.
