Warehouse Manager

Role Purpose:

The primary objective of this role is to oversee the warehouse administrative and operational teams responsible for the implementation of the Warehouse Management System (WMS), ensuring that all Finished Goods (FG) movements are meticulously planned and documented in accordance with company protocols and physical specifications.

Key Responsibilities:

• Oversee the daily operations of the Distribution Centre (DC), which includes planning, receiving, storing, delivering, and stock control.
• Ensure that all DC equipment and facilities are regularly maintained and assessed to fully support DC operations.
• Enforce adherence to fundamental warehouse protocols such as First Expire First Out (FEFO), standard operating procedures (SOP) for receiving and delivering, stock counting, and safety measures.
• Monitor delivery performance to guarantee customer service levels are consistently achieved.
• Supervise and ensure that third-party transport providers comply with the company's SOP, regularly evaluating their performance.
• Review stock holding levels to confirm that turnaround times are sufficient for optimal stock efficiency.
• Maintain security, safety, and cleanliness of the warehouse in compliance with legal requirements and the company's SOP and guidelines.
• Lead and guide a team by providing clear instructions, monitoring staff performance and attendance, delivering training, and assessing manpower needs periodically.
• Analyze and evaluate monthly stock reports, including stock turnover, write-offs, returns, adjustments, variance reports, or prepare any ad-hoc reports as requested by Management.
• Collaborate closely with the Sales team to address various requirements and changes, executing them in the most efficient manner possible.
• Regularly review and update SOPs, developing new procedures as necessary.
• Monitor and assess stock count and pallet count discrepancies (if any) and report to management to strengthen internal controls.
• Evaluate current manpower against existing processes to help manage overtime costs effectively.
• Perform additional tasks as assigned by Management.

Requirements

Qualification:

• A minimum of a Degree in Business, Management, Logistics, Transportation, or a related field.

Skills:

• Proficient in managing Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) and ERP is essential.
• Demonstrated leadership capabilities and management skills.
• Exceptional analytical, planning, and organizational abilities.
• Capable of multitasking effectively.
• Results-driven mindset.
• Strong logical reasoning and positive thinking; open to learning new concepts.
• A strong sense of ownership and urgency is crucial.

Computer Literacy:

• Proficient in MS Office applications, including Excel, Word, and Outlook.

Experience:

• Minimum of 10 years of managerial experience in mid to large warehouse or distribution centers, specifically within the FMCG sector.
