Data Analyst

Your role within the organization

As a BI Analytics Developer, you will play a crucial role in the planning, design, development, testing, and deployment of sophisticated analytics solutions. This includes generating reports, visualizations, dashboards, and databases across various domains, along with supporting and maintaining current solutions.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, implement, maintain, support, and enhance business intelligence solutions
• Show confidence in data modeling and BI solutions, adhering to best practices consistently
• Query, extract, and validate data from source systems
• Collaborate with teams and end-users to ensure that data and reports fulfill business requirements
• Design and oversee end-user reporting tools and systems, ensuring reports are accurate and current.

Qualifications

Mandatory Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a relevant field or equivalent professional experience

Essential Experience

• Proven experience with data warehouses, data modeling techniques, and security measures
• Extensive background in data modeling, including the creation of OLAP cubes (SSAS and Tabular models)
• Experience with Azure Technologies, particularly Azure Analysis Services for creating tabular models and writing advanced DAX queries
• Prior work experience in Cloud Services, specifically within the Azure ecosystem, including SQL Databases and Power BI Services
• Proficient in SQL for diverse data solutions
• Familiarity with ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) tools
• Experience in building solutions on Azure, including Power BI solutions utilizing Power Query and DAX
• Solid understanding of relational data sources and Azure components, such as Data Lake, Data Factory, and Data Bricks
• Successful experience designing and building enterprise-wide Power BI solutions
• Proficiency in coding with Python, T-SQL, QlikView, and REST APIs, along with a foundational understanding of Machine Learning
• Ability to deliver key metrics and manage secure access to data sets for the organization
• Assist users in comprehending data issues, tracing data lineage, and providing advice on technical future-proofing
• Experience in mentoring team members to improve reporting outcomes and analytical capabilities
• Ability to build reports based on large datasets
• Experience in Power BI integration and deployment
• Extensive knowledge of Power BI development and delivery, including advanced coding, repeatable frameworks, visualization design, and performance optimization
• Strong presentation skills with the ability to communicate all job aspects, including formal documentation creation
• Experience collaborating with key stakeholders to understand and meet project and client requirements
• Excellent interpersonal skills
• Strong problem-solving, time management, and organizational abilities
• Familiarity with software development lifecycles/methodologies.

Preferred Experience

• 2-5 years of relevant experience
• Experience with ERP systems such as SAP, Oracle EBS, etc.
• Background in manufacturing and retail domains
• Master's Degree in Computer Science or Statistics
• Project Management skills
• Proven track record and understanding of KPI/Metric principles
• Prior experience in a technical analyst role.
