Position: Cloud Architect for Messaging & Collaboration

Location: Singapore (Onsite)

Contract Duration: 12 Months (Renewable)

Position Summary

We are looking for a seasoned Cloud Architect specializing in Messaging & Collaboration to spearhead the design, modernization, and governance of enterprise messaging and collaboration systems across hybrid environments. The successful candidate will have extensive knowledge of Microsoft Exchange Server, Exchange Online, Microsoft 365, Azure, Entra ID, and Messaging Security, along with a solid history of cloud transformation and enterprise-grade messaging architecture.

Principal Duties

Messaging & Collaboration Architecture

• Establish enterprise messaging architecture, standards, and governance protocols.
• Create strategic roadmaps for Exchange modernization and the adoption of Microsoft 365.
• Design and oversee hybrid messaging environments that incorporate both on-premises and cloud platforms.
• Conduct architecture reviews, technical assessments, and lead transformation efforts.

Design of Exchange & Microsoft 365 Platforms

• Architect and govern environments for Microsoft Exchange Server (2016/2019/SE) and Exchange Online.
• Design solutions for high availability, disaster recovery, mail flow, transport, and messaging resilience.
• Support collaboration services in Microsoft 365, including Teams, SharePoint Online, and OneDrive.

Integration with Azure & Identity Management

• Design secure messaging solutions integrated with Azure.
• Implement identity and access management leveraging Entra ID (Azure AD), AD Connect, MFA, and Conditional Access.
• Ensure secure connectivity between on-premises systems and cloud environments.

Security & Compliance Measures

• Design and implement secure messaging solutions utilizing:
• Microsoft Defender for Office 365
• Exchange Online Protection (EOP)
• Data Loss Prevention (DLP)
• Microsoft Purview & Information Protection
• Support eDiscovery, retention policies, legal holds, audits, and compliance requirements.

Cloud Migration & Transformation Initiatives

• Lead migration projects from Exchange to Microsoft 365.
• Develop migration strategies, coexistence models, runbooks, and rollback plans.
• Support tenant consolidations, mergers, acquisitions, and modernization efforts.

Automation & Operational Efficiency

• Create PowerShell-based automation for provisioning, administration, and reporting tasks.
• Advocate for Infrastructure-as-Code and automation-first operational frameworks.
• Utilize Microsoft Copilot and Power Platform to enhance operational efficiency and reporting.

Stakeholder Engagement

• Collaborate with Infrastructure, Cloud, Security, and Workplace teams.
• Provide technical leadership, mentorship, and architectural guidance.
• Deliver technical solutions and recommendations to business and executive stakeholders.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in IT, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
• 8+ years of experience in Microsoft Messaging & Collaboration technologies.

• Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect Expert
