BMC Helix Technical Consultant (ESM)

Position Overview

We are on the lookout for an experienced BMC Helix Technical Consultant to architect, configure, develop, and enhance solutions within our Enterprise Service Management (ESM) environment. This position will primarily involve expanding the functionalities of BMC Helix Digital Workplace (DWP) and Helix Business Workflows (HBW).

You will collaborate with various teams, internal stakeholders, and external partners to convert intricate business needs into effective workflows, system integrations, and AI-powered automation features.

Primary Responsibilities

• BMC Helix Development & Configuration: Develop, configure, and deploy customized service management solutions on BMC Helix Digital Workplace and Helix Business Workflows (including forms, catalogs, processes, and automation rules).
• API Integration & Scripting: Create, manage, and secure API integrations across enterprise applications, executing essential data transformations and scripting tasks.
• Platform Enhancement & Support: Oversee system upgrades, release migrations, capacity planning, and L3 troubleshooting/RCA for intricate platform issues to fulfill SLAs.
• AI & Automation Integration: Incorporate AI-driven automation, conversational AI/chatbots, and predictive analytics into BMC service workflows.
• Governance & Documentation: Produce and maintain solution design documents (SDDs), configuration manuals, and test scripts while complying with enterprise security guidelines and audit standards.

Qualifications & Key Skills

Essential Experience & Skills

• BMC Platform Expertise: At least 3+ years in technical positions with hands-on experience in configuring and managing BMC Helix Digital Workplace, BMC Helix Business Workflows, or BMC Remedy.
• Integrations & Scripting: Demonstrated experience with API integrations (REST/SOAP), JSON, scripting, and managing system interfaces.
• Process & Analytics: In-depth understanding of IT Service Management (ITSM/ESM) processes, workflow engineering, and root-cause analysis (RCA).
• Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related discipline.

Desirable / Additional Skills

• AI & Smart Automation: Practical experience in integrating AI technologies, chatbots, or predictive analytics within enterprise service management workflows.
• Project Management: Familiarity with Agile/ITSM methodologies, vendor management, UAT support, and enterprise change control.
