Provide technical implementation and support during project execution in all areas except functional aspects. Seize the opportunity for growth by learning and assisting in various areas of subject matter expertise, which may include infrastructure, hardware/software specifications, penetration testing, performance testing, open-source frameworks, and scripting for technical analysis and assessment. Provide technical implementation and support during project execution in all areas except functional aspects. Seize the opportunity for growth by learning and assisting in various areas of subject matter expertise, which may include infrastructure, hardware/software specifications, penetration testing, performance testing, open-source frameworks, and scripting for technical analysis and assessment. Additionally, you will engage in a certain level of development and customization to ensure successful project delivery.
Responsibilities:
- Evaluates the integration documentation provided by the client.
- Creates code that is low-latency and adheres to clear and concise development practices.
- Articulates a comprehensive view from a technical perspective.
- Provides support and troubleshooting for any arising technical issues.
- Collaborates with the offshore Development Centre, located in China or elsewhere by HQ.
- Configures solutions within the client's environment.
- Deploys customized solutions into the client's testing environments for verification.
- Interacts with the client's IT personnel regarding infrastructure and environmental concerns.
- Guides the client's IT personnel on technical matters.
- Provides 1st and 2nd level production support for issues raised by the client.
- May involve implementing projects abroad, depending on assignment requirements.
- Adheres to the client's data confidentiality policy.
Required Qualifications
- Advanced Diploma/Bachelor Degree or equivalent qualification.
- Certified Java Developer or relevant technical certifications are advantageous.
- 3-5 years of experience with J2EE-based distributed applications.
- Proficient in Java skills: J2SE and J2EE (including Multi-Threading, JDBC/JPA, JMS, JAX-WS, REST services, SOAP web services, Java Message Service, Spring, JVM & Garbage collector tuning, etc.).
- Experience with front-end technologies/frameworks is a plus, such as HTML, HTML5, JavaScript, CSS, etc.
- Familiarity with contemporary DevOps tools (e.g., Appium, Jenkins, Nexus, Selenium, Junit, JMeter, Docker, SonarQube, JIRA, ZenTao) is beneficial.
- Experience with Agile delivery methods is a plus.
- Background in React Native/Native development is a plus.
- Hands-on knowledge of ReactJS/AngularJS or other JavaScript-based frameworks is an advantage.
- Self-motivated with strong analytical, communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Exhibits a strong work ethic and sense of integrity.
- Solid understanding of Object-Oriented Programming, Design Patterns, Modular Services, and Troubleshooting/Debugging.
- Knowledge of banking IT solutions is certainly an advantage.
- Willingness to travel internationally (e.g., trips back to Malaysia every 2-3 weeks).
- Multi-lingual capabilities, particularly in English and Chinese, are advantageous.
