IT On-site O&M Engineer

Position: On-site IT Operations & Maintenance Engineer (Server & Network)

Location: Malaysia

Experience Required: 3+ years

Overview:

The role involves hands-on responsibility for the maintenance, troubleshooting, and management of physical servers, Linux systems, and networking hardware within a data center environment.

Main Duties and Responsibilities:

• Perform server installation, routine maintenance, hardware relocations, component replacements, and decommissioning processes.
• Configure and troubleshoot Linux operating systems to ensure optimal performance.
• Identify and resolve issues related to network equipment, including switches, routers, and firewalls.
• Manage IT assets and maintain accurate inventory records.
• Collaborate closely with the Network Operations Center (NOC) team to troubleshoot and resolve network-related problems.

Essential Skills and Qualifications:

• At least 3 years of experience in server maintenance and support.
• Minimum of 3 years' experience in the operation and maintenance of network equipment.
• At least 1 year of hands-on experience with Linux system administration.
• Solid understanding of TCP/IP protocols, routing, and switching technologies.
• Practical experience working with Cisco, H3C, or Huawei network devices.
• Possession of at least one intermediate-level networking certification.
• Basic familiarity with SXM GPU server configurations and management.
• Hold an associate degree or higher educational qualification.
