Infra Engineer

The Infrastructure Engineer will play a crucial role in delivering operational support for the Enterprise IT System, ensuring optimal functionality and seamless service delivery. The IT systems operate across both Windows and UNIX platforms, utilizing middleware applications such as Oracle, MS-SQL, JBoss, Tomcat, and Kubernetes.

Key Responsibilities:

• Oversee the configuration, administration, monitoring, and routine maintenance of enterprise-level applications including Oracle, MS-SQL, Apache HTTPd, Apache Tomcat, JBoss, Websphere Application Servers, Kubernetes, Kafka, and IBM-MQ.
• Collaborate with Software Development and infrastructure teams to deploy application solutions and resolve technical challenges.
• Engage with software, network, and infrastructure administrators to effectively address technical issues.
• Troubleshoot web, middleware, and database environments.
• Identify both potential and actual performance bottlenecks within web environments.
• Utilize troubleshooting techniques to distinguish between infrastructure or environment-related problems.
• Regularly update documentation to accurately reflect system configurations and environments.
• Manage escalations effectively to prevent any service level agreement (SLA) gaps.
• Employ ITSM processes and tools for support.

Qualifications:

• Diploma or Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related field.
• Proven experience with Linux and Windows systems.
• Strong skills in the implementation and administration of both Linux and Windows platforms.
• Solid understanding of MS-SQL and open-source technologies, including JBoss, Docker containers, and Kubernetes container orchestration.
• Previous experience providing support for enterprise-wide on-premises systems.
• Demonstrates an analytical mindset.
• Proactive in identifying initiatives that enhance productivity and efficiency.
• Availability for 24x7 shift work.
