Head of Security Operations

Essential Duties:

• Direct cybersecurity operations, encompassing threat detection and response, vulnerability management, security monitoring, and incident management.
• Supervise the security of infrastructure within both on-premises and cloud environments, which includes vulnerability management, server hardening, security monitoring, and conducting security architecture reviews.
• Ensure the integrity of cloud security posture, evaluate new cloud solutions, and resolve any identified security gaps and misconfigurations.
• Provide leadership and governance across Identity & Access Management (IAM).
• Collaborate with the Security Operations Center (SOC) on security monitoring, incident response, and the deployment of new cybersecurity functionalities.
• Act as a reliable security advisor to both Technology and Business stakeholders, offering actionable recommendations that align with security, regulatory, and business objectives.
• Lead and nurture a proficient cybersecurity team, promoting technical skill development and fostering a culture of continuous improvement.

Qualifications:

• 15+ years of experience in information security, ideally within a highly regulated industry.
• Extensive experience in security operations, infrastructure security, and cloud security, with the technical acumen to engage and challenge engineering teams effectively.
• Practical knowledge of multi-cloud environments, including SaaS, PaaS, and IaaS, alongside cyber incident management expertise.
• Proficiency in vulnerability management, infrastructure hardening, security architecture/advisory roles, and conducting security assessments.
• Strong leadership skills with proven capabilities in managing senior stakeholders.
• Desirable certifications include CISSP, CISA, CRISC, CCSP, or other relevant cloud/security architecture credentials.
