General Accounting Analyst

The General Accounting Analyst will assist TCW’s Corporate Accounting team with the preparation and evaluation of financial statements, regulatory submissions, and audit activities. This role is essential to maintaining the accuracy, timeliness, and integrity of accounting information in TCW’s ERP platform (Workday). The position emphasizes strong technical accounting expertise, analytical capability, and effective collaboration with onshore finance and accounting teams.

Key Responsibilities

• Help prepare regulatory reports and filings to support compliance with applicable governing bodies.
• Contribute to internal and external audits, including regulatory audits, by supplying required documentation and reconciliations.
• Complete account reconciliations, journal entries, and variance analyses to verify accuracy and completeness.
• Update and verify accounting records within the ERP system (Workday), ensuring controls and supporting documentation are properly maintained.
• Work closely with onshore Corporate Accounting to identify and implement process enhancements and automation opportunities.
• Support monthly and quarterly close activities, ensuring timelines and reporting requirements are met.
• Create and maintain documentation for all assigned processes. 

Qualifications & Experience

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• Minimum 4-6 years of experience in general accounting or financial reporting within financial services.
• Strong understanding of GAAP, regulatory reporting, and audit processes.
• ERP systems proficiency (Workday Financials strongly preferred).
• Advanced Excel skills and demonstrated data analysis capability.
• Analytical approach, high attention to detail, and a strong commitment to accuracy.
• Organized, proactive, and detail-focused with strong follow-through discipline.
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively across time zones and functions.
