Functional Business Analyst (Banking)

We are looking for an experienced Functional Business Analyst to act as a vital link between business requirements and technological solutions. This role focuses on evaluating business processes, collecting and documenting essential requirements, and working alongside technical teams to implement functional solutions that align with business goals.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Requirements Gathering & Analysis: Collaborate with stakeholders to gain insights into business processes, challenges, and objectives.
2. Document both functional and non-functional requirements, ensuring they are clear and comprehensive.
3. Solution Design: Convert business needs into functional specifications for technical teams.
4. Design high-level solutions that are in sync with organizational objectives and technology roadmaps.
5. Collaboration & Communication: Act as a bridge between business users and technical teams, ensuring effective communication and mutual understanding.
6. Organize workshops, meetings, and discussions to collect insights and validate proposed solutions.
7. Testing & Validation: Help define test plans and scenarios to ensure solutions meet business requirements.
8. Support user acceptance testing (UAT) and resolve any issues or concerns raised by users.
9. Change Management & Implementation: Work with business and technical teams to strategize and execute process or system changes.
10. Prepare stakeholders for new operational processes and technology implementations.
11. Continuous Improvement: Evaluate existing systems and processes to identify opportunities for enhancement.
12. Recommend improvements that enhance efficiency, scalability, and overall business value.

Job Requirements:

• Demonstrable experience as a Functional Business Analyst, ideally within the banking sector.
• In-depth understanding of business processes and the ability to translate them into technology solutions.
• Experience in documenting requirements, process flows, and functional specifications.
• Familiarity with the software development life cycle (SDLC) and agile methodologies.
• Exceptional communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving abilities.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Visio, and project management tools.
• Bachelor's degree in Business, IT, or a related discipline.

Preferred Skills:

• Understanding of trade finance.
