IT - Supply Chain Systems

Position Overview

The Supply Chain Systems team collaborates with global and regional stakeholders, strategic technology partners, and internal IT teams to create a comprehensive roadmap, spearhead the execution of programs, manage projects, facilitate enhancements, and provide operational support for all systems within Dyson's Supply Chain Systems framework.

As the head of Supply Chain Systems,

your key responsibilities will encompass:

• Leading the Supply Chain Systems team, which comprises a diverse group of technology professionals skilled in areas such as Solution Architecture (indirect), Technical Product Ownership, Program and Project Management, Business Analysis, and Operations (indirect).
• Ensuring a strong emphasis on career development, succession planning, recruitment, onboarding, and fostering a positive culture within the Dyson IT organization.
• Collaborating with business leaders, product owners, solution architects, strategic partners, and third parties to formulate, execute, and oversee the Supply Chain Systems strategy and roadmap.
• Depending on the product, directing DevSecOps efforts within the Supply Chain Systems team to implement operational improvements and manage projects effectively.
• Offering strategic guidance to IT leadership, key stakeholders, and colleagues to maximize the value derived from the platform architecture.
• Partnering with the Global IT Director – Group Support Functions to develop and sustain a portfolio plan that ensures the delivery of all pledged projects and programs within a three-year timeframe.
• In collaboration with Indirect Procurement and relevant business leaders, assuming overall IT responsibility for managing vendor relationships to negotiate, contract, and oversee software, software integrators, and other third parties to fulfill the domain roadmap.
• Engaging with strategic partners and third parties to identify future trends, innovations, and opportunities within the Supply Chain Systems application landscape.
• Adhering to established methodologies pertinent to your domain to ensure successful delivery of all pledged programs and projects regarding timeline, specifications, budget, and quality.
• Providing leadership on project risks and issues, ensuring effective mitigation strategies and resolutions are implemented.
• Acting as the authoritative figure for the platform, ensuring compliance with technical principles, design governance, and delivery methodologies among IT and business stakeholders.
• Identifying shortcomings in platform capabilities and proactively influencing IT/business budget stakeholders and decision-makers on necessary actions to address them.
• Overseeing a technical debt register for Dyson's Supply Chain Systems landscape and collaborating with technical delivery teams to prioritize initiatives aimed at reducing technical debt.
• Managing 24/7 or 24/5 global application support processes (depending on the platform and with assistance from Operation & Support partners) to deliver support within predefined SLAs to global Dyson business operations teams.
• Handling Senior Management escalations for significant incidents within Dyson's Global Supply Chain Systems domain.

• Strong business acumen regarding Supply Chain Systems business processes.
• A proven history of managing third-party vendor relationships effectively.
• A curious mindset with a desire to stay informed about changes and innovations in the Supply Chain Systems technology landscape.
• Willingness to travel as needed.
