Job Overview

We are seeking a motivated Finance Analyst at the junior level to assist with daily Product Control and P&L operations within our banking sector. This position entails validating financial data, preparing P&L reports, checking trade bookings, investigating discrepancies, managing month-end tasks, and collaborating with both Front Office and Middle Office teams.

Main Responsibilities

• Assist in the daily end-of-day P&L production process, focusing on data extraction, validation, and initial variance analysis.
• Conduct daily checks and investigations across financial systems to pinpoint and rectify discrepancies related to: Trade booking, Market data, Corporate actions, Off-market transactions.
• Help in the analysis and resolution of P&L and trade-booking discrepancies.
• Coordinate with Front Office traders and Middle Office teams regarding financial data and transaction inquiries.
• Ensure proper documentation and audit trails are maintained for issue resolution.
• Assist in preparing and updating desktop procedures and control documentation.
• Contribute to month-end closing activities, including: Journal entries, Balance sheet substantiation, Preliminary P&L commentary.
• Ensure all tasks are executed in compliance with internal controls and audit standards.

Qualifications

• Diploma or Degree in Finance, Accounting, Banking, Economics, Business, or a related field.
• A foundational understanding of accounting principles, financial markets, or banking products is preferred.
• Proficient in handling numbers, financial data, and reconciliations.
