Overview

The risk division at Commerz Global Service Solutions (CGSS) plays a crucial role in effectively managing various risk types to reduce exposure for CGSS, its clients, and its personnel. This division is also tasked with fostering a robust risk culture throughout the organization.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and continuously enhance the risk management framework, including associated controls and processes.
• Create and refine an early risk identification process with relevant risk metrics and indicators.
• Assess risk exposure and formulate strategies for mitigation.
• Regularly monitor the effectiveness of mitigating controls and further develop existing risk indicators and metrics.
• Deliver consolidated risk reports tailored to specific target groups.
• Coordinate and integrate the current incident management and escalation processes with relevant procedures and tabletop exercises within the Commerzbank group.
• Continuously track applicable regulatory and legal requirements related to risk management in the financial services industry.

Educational Background:

Bachelor's degree in a relevant field, preferably with an emphasis on banking, financial mathematics, or business informatics, or an equivalent qualification.

Required Skills and Qualifications

• A minimum of 5 years of demonstrated experience in risk governance, ideally within a regulated financial services environment.
• Comprehensive understanding of risk management methodologies, procedures, and processes, including recognized best practices in risk governance.
• Extensive knowledge of global regulatory requirements concerning risk management in the financial sector.
• Relevant certifications in risk management or governance are advantageous.
• Strategic thinker with strong analytical abilities and a solution-oriented approach.
• Effective stakeholder management and business partnering skills, collaborating across departments to achieve strategic objectives.
• Excellent analytical capabilities, judgment, and decision-making skills, considering both immediate and long-term implications.
• Ability to mitigate risks by leveraging insights from past experiences.
• Self-motivated and articulate communicator with exceptional communication skills.
• Proficiency in written and spoken English.
