Software Engineer Developer – Sapiens IDIT

We are seeking a Software Engineer specializing in Sapiens IDIT to develop, configure, enhance, and support insurance applications on the Sapiens IDIT platform.

The ideal candidate will collaborate closely with Technical Leads, Business Analysts, QA, Product Owners, and business stakeholders to deliver high-quality solutions that support General Insurance products and drive digital transformation initiatives.

This position requires practical experience in Sapiens IDIT development, troubleshooting, system integration, and production support.

Key Responsibilities

Sapiens IDIT Development

• Create, configure, and tailor solutions within the Sapiens IDIT platform.
• Implement new product features, enhancements, and resolve bugs.
• Configure business rules, workflows, product definitions, rating, underwriting, policy servicing, and document generation.
• Develop reusable components adhering to development standards and best practices.

Technical Delivery

• Engage in requirement analysis and technical design discussions.
• Translate functional specifications into technical solutions.
• Estimate development effort and assist with sprint planning activities.
• Deliver high-quality, maintainable, and thoroughly documented code.

Integration Development

• Create and maintain REST APIs and system integrations.
• Implement integrations between IDIT and external systems such as payment gateways, CRM, document management systems, and data platforms.
• Support API testing and troubleshoot interfaces.
• Validate data mappings and payload structures.

Testing & Quality

• Conduct unit testing and assist with system integration testing.
• Support business users during UAT.
• Investigate and resolve defects within established SLAs.
• Ensure solutions comply with performance, security, and quality standards.

Production Support

• Provide Level 2 and Level 3 application support.
• Investigate production incidents and carry out root cause analysis.
• Support production deployments and conduct post-release verification.
• Collaborate with vendors and infrastructure teams to address technical issues.

Documentation

• Create technical specifications and solution documentation.
• Maintain configuration documents and API specifications.
• Update knowledge articles and support documentation.

Collaboration

Required Skills & Experience

Essential

• 3–5 years of software development experience.
• 2+ years of hands-on experience with Sapiens IDIT development.
• Experience in developing insurance policy administration solutions.
• Strong knowledge of General Insurance business processes.
• Experience with REST APIs and system integration.
• Proficient in SQL and relational database management.
• Experience with JSON and XML.
• Familiarity with Git or Bitbucket for version control.
• Experience with Jira and Confluence.
• Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Mandatory Certification

Candidates must hold a valid Sapiens IDIT Certification, such as:
