Accounting Manager (B2B Fintech)

Key Responsibilities:

• Financial Record Management: Sustain precise and current financial documentation, which encompasses accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger entries, and expense reports.
• Reconciliation: Execute regular reconciliations of bank statements, accounts, and transactions to verify accuracy and uncover discrepancies.
• Financial Analysis: Perform comprehensive analysis of financial data, providing insights and recommendations to management for enhanced financial planning and decision-making.
• Budgeting and Forecasting: Aid in the formulation of annual budgets and financial forecasts, monitoring budget performance, and offering variance analysis.
• Reporting: Generate regular financial reports, such as income statements, balance sheets, cash flow statements, and any additional financial reports required by management.
• Tax Compliance: Ensure adherence to local regulations and timely preparation of necessary tax filings.
• Auditing: Work alongside auditors during both internal and external audits to supply required documentation and address inquiries related to financial records.
• Process Enhancement: Continuously seek opportunities to optimize accounting processes and implement best practices to improve overall efficiency.
• Financial Compliance: Guarantee conformity with company policies, accounting standards, and relevant regulations.
• Vendor Relations: Oversee vendor relationships, ensuring prompt payments and resolving any payment-related concerns.
• Cross-Department Collaboration: Partner with other departments, such as HR and Operations, to collect financial data and deliver financial insights as necessary.
• Continuous Learning: Stay informed about changes in accounting standards, tax regulations, and financial trends to ensure compliance and effective financial management.

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline.
• Demonstrated work experience as an Accountant, Accountant Manager, or in a similar role within the fintech lending sector in Southeast Asia.
• Proficiency in accounting software (such as Xero) and the MS Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
• Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities with keen attention to detail.
• Familiarity with accounting principles, practices, and tax legislation.
• Exceptional organizational and time management skills to effectively meet deadlines.
• Ability to work autonomously and collaboratively within a team setting.
• Strong communication skills for effective interaction with colleagues and external stakeholders.
• Certified Public Accountant (CPA) designation or equivalent is advantageous.
