Engineering Project Manager

Overview

Our project management opportunities vary in scope and responsibility, ranging from delivering our consultancy services to working within the client organisation to deliver their projects and programmes.

You will bring outstanding stakeholder communication and people management capabilities, and you will enjoy working in a fast-moving, diverse project delivery environment.

Your Role

• Based in our Nuclear business sector in our Bangalore or Gurgaon office, you will lead the delivery of AtkinsRealis technical design and engineering projects or work directly for our key clients.
• You must be able to recognise and work constructively on complex practical, technical, and commercial issues, collaborating with a wide range of stakeholders; you will lead project teams that are local to you or distributed across multiple sites.
• The roles available differ in size and nature and are especially well suited to an agile project management approach, where discovery is a key element of the work. To support the growth of our business, we are particularly interested in speaking with individuals building a career as a professional project manager, who are delivery focused, and who enjoy working in a customer-focused capacity.
• Additional responsibilities include helping develop our capabilities by building a track record for excellence, mentoring others, and supporting business development and bidding activities.
  
  

About You

• You will have excellent communication, active listening, stakeholder management and influencing skills. You will be able to manage client relationships, engage constructively with multiple stakeholders, and lead delivery teams. You will also contribute to shaping and supporting the development of future business.
• You will enjoy taking on new challenges, be motivated to learn, and be keen to support others within our diverse, multi-disciplinary teams. You must also be able to effectively manage the commercial and quality performance of projects and apply a range of techniques to control delivery, cost, manage risk, and manage change.
• Experience working collaboratively with teams across multiple geographical locations.
• Engineering professional with 20 or more years of experience
• Direct and demonstrable experience successfully managing one or more of the following types of projects to agreed time, cost and quality requirements:
• Consultancy services supplying engineering advice, or
• Engineering design
• Must be an Engineering Professional
• Experience leading and directing teams and resources. Ability to motivate yourself and teams, manage conflict, and create a collaborative team culture that meets client requirements
• A strong focus on client relationship management and people leadership, with excellent communication skills.
• Willingness to travel as necessary.
• Willingness to work flexibly, including occasional out-of-hours work, to meet project and client requirements.
• Nuclear industry experience. We welcome applications from candidates from other high hazard or highly regulated industries, such as process, Oil and Gas, Defense, and Aerospace.
