Engineering Manager

Brief Summary

• Own end-to-end engineering delivery for complex building projects, ensuring safe execution, technical excellence, and delivery on schedule. Gain wide-ranging experience across design coordination, stakeholder engagement, and project implementation support.

Responsibilities

• Establish engineering scope, technical requirements, key deliverables, milestones, and resource needs throughout the project lifecycle Lead feasibility assessments and assist with evaluating solution options to confirm technical viability and account for risk Oversee the preparation and review of conceptual, schematic, and detailed designs to support constructability and technical precision Review structural analyses, calculations, engineering reports, and design documentation to resolve design conflicts and manage interfaces Coordinate engineering deliverables with clients, consultants, contractors, subcontractors, and applicable authorities Track engineering work progress against schedule, budget, and quality objectives, identifying risks early and driving effective mitigation Provide technical leadership both on-site and in-office to address engineering and construction challenges during execution Ensure engineering activities comply with safety, environmental, and quality management requirements Manage authority submissions and approval documentation, ensuring records are complete, accurate, and traceable Support testing, commissioning, close-out, handover readiness, defect rectification, and as-built documentation reviews Coach and mentor engineering team members, allocate workloads, and foster cross-disciplinary collaboration Drive continuous improvement by implementing digital engineering tools, engineering best practices, and process enhancements

Requirements

• Degree in Civil / Structural Engineering or a related discipline 10-12 years of relevant experience in construction project engineering, including at least 5 years in an engineering management / senior engineering leadership capacity Proven experience delivering large-scale building projects with strong ownership of engineering coordination and delivery outcomes Strong understanding of buildability, temporary works coordination, design management, and construction methodologies Familiarity with local authority submissions/approval workflows and applicable codes/standards for project delivery Experience with BIM/digital engineering tools and sustainability/green building practices is preferred Strong stakeholder management capability, with the ability to align multiple parties on technical decisions and delivery priorities Demonstrated ability to lead, develop, and mentor multidisciplinary engineering teams in a fast-paced environment
