Director, Software Engineer

Key Responsibilities

• Lead, mentor, and provide direction to engineering teams focused on developing tools and services aimed at ensuring secure code practices and a seamless flow of artifacts.
• Facilitate the professional growth of direct reports by establishing clear objectives and expectations; assess and manage KPIs and accountability measures.
• Demonstrate a growth-oriented mindset by adopting industry-leading practices and staying abreast of technology trends related to information security, in pursuit of continuous delivery.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to uncover opportunities for utilizing AI to enhance business solutions.
• Supervise the design, development, and upkeep of Machine Learning models and solutions.
• Convert real-world business challenges into quantifiable machine learning metrics.
• Communicate complex algorithmic decisions and model predictions effectively to non-technical stakeholders.
• Stay informed about current and emerging technologies or applications in the fields of AI and Machine Learning.
• Evaluate the effectiveness of AI initiatives and modify strategies as necessary.
• Promote the integration of AI throughout the engineering lifecycle, including AI-assisted coding, automated testing, code generation, and productivity-enhancing development workflows.
• Cultivate a culture of innovation, experimentation, and ongoing improvement, motivating teams to explore new technologies and refine engineering standards.
• Comprehend, support, and enhance Agile methodologies related to code integration, systems thinking, and scaled delivery.
• Assist multiple cross-functional agile teams in establishing test environments, build processes, deployment, and troubleshooting. Partner with Tech leads to eliminate obstacles to continuous delivery.
• Examine underlying issues and assist the team in troubleshooting challenges related to code, tools, and workflows.
• Act as the integration point of contact for both internal and external infrastructure/support teams by converting technical change requests into actionable steps.
• Monitor change requests from various development and testing teams for concurrent code deployments.
• Review, prioritize, and schedule change requests across different environments, starting from integration, member testing, to production.
