Position Overview

Within the Cluster Delivery Organization, a collaborative team comprising Business Specialists, Business Experts, Engineer Specialists, Engineers, and Product Owners works cohesively. Utilizing Agile methodologies, team members are empowered to respond swiftly and flexibly to evolving conditions and customer requirements through iterative approaches and the continual development of innovative solutions.

Key Responsibilities

• Crafting, deploying, and assessing tools for our worldwide Linux environments, including both Cloud and On-Premise setups for virtual and physical systems
• Standardizing and optimizing overall system configurations
• Conducting troubleshooting, problem analysis, monitoring, and performance enhancement
• Planning for disaster recovery and security management
• Simplifying and automating routine system administration tasks
• Maintaining comprehensive technical documentation
• Providing training and support to team members
• Engaging in effective teamwork and proactive communication with internal stakeholders
• Planning and deploying all RHEL application servers in production following established processes
• Regularly maintaining and updating operational systems
• Delivering 2nd and 3rd level support for designated IT systems
• Analyzing and addressing incidents and issues (cancellations, cross-country skiers, vulnerabilities, etc.)
• Implementing changes and releases within the specified domain
• Documenting the utilized systems (Asset Database Comin)
• Providing technical support for production operations

Required Skills and Qualifications

• Strong knowledge of Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL), with an expected RHCA knowledge level
• General understanding of Cloud Technologies, including RHEL on Azure, GCP, and Google BMS
• Experience with virtualization technologies, particularly VMware
• Proficiency in Python, Git, CI/CD tools (such as TeamCity, Jenkins), and programming Vendor APIs like Red Hat Satellite API, Azure, GCP, VMware APIs, and MS Defender for Endpoint Linux
• Solid familiarity with either Red Hat Ansible, Ansible Automation Platform, SALT, or Puppet
• Capability to deploy all RHEL application servers in accordance with defined processes
• Addressing and resolving deficiencies identified through health checks
• Knowledge of middleware components (Tivoli, Backup, Nessus, etc.)
• Understanding of security topics (SIEM, Security Patching, PAM)
• Managing MS Defender predefined tasks (configuration adjustments, scan defect resolution, network failures)
• Basic administration skills in OpenShift
• Monitoring of OS basics
• Programming scripts and batch processes to automate system workflows
• Experience supporting server migration initiatives

Educational Requirements:
