Job Description:

Required Qualifications: A minimum of 2+ years of recent, hands-on experience as a Datadog administrator capable of overseeing the Datadog platform comprehensively.

Essential Technical Requirements:

• A degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related discipline is required.
• 5+ years of experience in Infrastructure, Cloud, or Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) roles, with at least 3 years serving in an SRE Subject Matter Expert (SME) capacity, preferably within financial institutions or regulated settings.
• Recent experience managing the Datadog platform end-to-end is essential.
• Hands-on proficiency with Observability Platforms such as Datadog, Dynatrace, Splunk, and ELK is a must.
• Expertise in Automation/Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools including Terraform, Ansible, Python, and CI/CD pipelines is required.
• Practical knowledge of Cloud Platforms: AWS (including CloudWatch, X-Ray, and CloudTrail) and Azure (including Monitor, Log Analytics, and Application Insights) is necessary.
• A solid understanding of SRE principles, service health modeling, error budgets, and the design of auto-remediation processes.
• Familiarity with operational resilience frameworks, regulatory compliance, and incident management within the financial sector is expected.
• A certification in at least one of the following is mandatory:

Datadog Certified Observability Professional / Dynatrace Certified Associate

• Terraform/Ansible/Python Certified Expert
• Certification in the following is advantageous:
• AWS Certified DevOps Engineer / Azure DevOps Expert
• SRE Foundation/Practitioner (DevOps Institute)
• ITIL v4 Managing Professional

Project Overview:

• Design and implement a comprehensive enterprise observability and service reliability strategy that spans all infrastructure and application domains, focusing on proactive monitoring, automation, and resilience initiatives.

Key Responsibilities:

Governance and Strategy for Observability:

• Establish and oversee the Enterprise Observability Architecture in alignment with operational resilience mandates (such as MAS TRM, DORA, and APRA CPS 230).
• Deploy and enhance observability platforms (Datadog, Dynatrace, Splunk) to ensure full-stack visibility across infrastructure, applications, networks, and user experiences.

Reliability Engineering and Automation:

• Implement SRE frameworks for critical infrastructure and business applications.

• Automate runbooks, alerts, self-healing actions, and auto-remediation workflows using Python, Ansible, and Terraform.
