Job Description
The Project Manager will be instrumental in steering cross-functional projects, collaborating with both internal stakeholders and external partners, while ensuring the on-time and high-quality execution of essential initiatives.
This role involves overseeing the timeline of project portfolios across various team functions to achieve cross-subject project milestones through effective stakeholder communication and management. The Project Manager will take the initiative to implement efficient solutions that align with the defined scope, deliverables, and expectations.
The Project Manager is vital for supervising and guaranteeing the successful execution of projects within the organization, concentrating on both strategic and tactical elements of project management.
Key Responsibilities
- Create, monitor, and manage comprehensive project plans, timelines, and milestones for multiple ongoing projects across various streams.
- Facilitate and enhance collaboration among internal departments (Technology, Product, Operations, Regulatory Compliance, Legal, etc.).
- Ensure that project requirements, resources, and deliverables are in alignment.
- Oversee the planning, execution, and monitoring of projects.
- Act as the primary point of contact between Abaxx Exchange and external vendors, system integrators, and technology partners.
- Supervise vendor performance, quality of deliverables, SLAs, and adherence to contractual obligations.
- Lead discussions, negotiations, and escalation procedures to address scope, timelines, technical challenges, or operational hurdles.
- Formulate UAT strategies, test plans, and acceptance criteria in partnership with Product and Technology teams.
- Identify project risks, constraints, and gaps early on; suggest mitigation strategies and solutions.
- Facilitate the resolution of issues involving internal teams and vendors.
- Maintain precise risk logs, issue trackers, and project documentation.
- Compile and present regular project status updates, dashboards, and executive briefings.
- Ensure projects adhere to governance processes, regulatory standards, and internal audit requirements.
- Maintain documentation, including BRDs, project plans, meeting minutes, and RAID logs.
Qualifications & Experience
- A Bachelor's degree in business, Finance, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
- 10-15 years of project management experience, preferably within fintech, financial services, trading platforms, exchanges, clearing, or technology implementation.
- Demonstrated experience managing vendors and cross-functional teams in intricate, multi-stakeholder settings.
- Strong understanding of project management methodologies (Agile, Waterfall, Hybrid) with relevant certification.
- Practical experience in planning and executing UAT cycles.
- Exceptional communication, negotiation, and problem-solving capabilities.
- High level of ownership, follow-through, and operational discipline.
- Excellent leadership skills to direct project teams and effectively influence stakeholders.
