Construction Manager (Industrial Building)

Our client is a well-established A1 main contractor delivering civil and infrastructure projects in Singapore. With a growing project pipeline, the company invites experienced Construction Managers to lead site operations and ensure construction works are completed safely, on schedule, and to the required quality standards.

Responsibilities

• Supervise daily site operations and coordinate construction activities to ensure all works are executed in line with approved drawings, specifications, and project requirements.
• Manage site teams, engineers, supervisors, and subcontractors to support efficient and effective delivery of construction activities.
• Develop and track construction programmes, work sequencing, and manpower and equipment allocation to achieve project milestones.
• Review subcontractor productivity and performance, flag potential schedule risks, and put recovery actions in place when necessary.
• Coordinate with the Project Manager, consultants, clients, and relevant stakeholders to resolve technical and site-related issues.
• Ensure construction works meet project quality requirements, approved method statements, risk assessments, and workplace safety regulations.
• Partner closely with the QA/QC team to carry out inspections, address non-conformances, and uphold quality benchmarks.
• Track site progress, variations, and possible cost implications, and provide prompt updates to the project management team.
• Lead site coordination meetings and drive continuous improvements in construction methods, productivity, and work quality.
• Oversee specialist work contract (SWC) activities and ensure proper management of interfaces across different work packages.
• Keep comprehensive site records, progress reports, and construction documentation.

Requirements

• Degree in Civil or Structural Engineering, or an equivalent qualification accepted by the client.
• Relevant experience in construction or site management for civil and infrastructure projects.
• Experience on LTA projects is preferred or required, depending on project needs.
• Strong understanding of construction methods, site operations, work sequencing, and subcontractor management.
• Experience leading site teams, managing construction programmes, coordinating manpower, and delivering project deliverables.
• Sound knowledge of construction quality, workplace safety, and applicable regulatory requirements.
• Strong leadership, coordination, and problem-solving capabilities.
• Ability to manage multiple site activities and meet project deadlines.
• Relevant professional registration or qualifications, where required for the position.

• Location: Depending on project
• Working days: 5.5 Days
• Salary : up to S$8,000 / Negotiable + VB (salary will commensurate according to experience & qualifications).
