Position Title: Cloud FinOps Lead - Azure
Experience Required: 4+ years
Work Location: Singapore
Contract Length: 12 months with the possibility of extension (subject to project needs).
Work Arrangement: This is a Work From Office (WFO) position.
Residency Requirement: Candidates must currently reside in Singapore.
Role Overview:
We are in search of a Cloud FinOps Lead to spearhead our Cloud Financial Management initiatives, focusing primarily on Microsoft Azure. This role will require you to integrate cloud engineering, finance, and business operations to enhance cloud expenditure efficiency, promote cost transparency, and maximize the business value derived from cloud investments.
Main Responsibilities
- FinOps Governance: Develop cost allocation guidelines across subscriptions, resource groups, and tags; implement showback and chargeback models.
- Cost Optimization: Lead initiatives to reduce expenses associated with compute, storage, and database services leveraging Microsoft Cost Management, Azure Advisor, Savings Plans, RIs, and Azure Hybrid Benefit.
- Financial Planning: Collaborate with Finance and Engineering teams for budget planning, conduct monthly variance analysis (Budget vs. Actuals), and forecast consumption.
- Engineering Collaboration: Work alongside Architects during the Day 0 solution design phase to establish cost-aware architectural standards.
Qualifications We Seek
- 5+ years of experience in IT Cloud/Infrastructure or Technical Finance, with 2+ years of direct involvement in public cloud cost management, specifically with Microsoft Azure.
- Proficient understanding of Azure billing frameworks, subscriptions, and cost optimization tools.
- Strong Excel and data analysis skills (experience with Power BI is advantageous).
- Exceptional communication abilities to connect technical engineering teams with executive finance personnel.
- Must be located in Singapore.
