Position Description:

A Business Analyst with experience in Banking and Payments is needed to help drive payment transformation and modernization initiatives. The role involves working with business stakeholders, product owners, development teams, and QA teams to evaluate requirements, capture and document solutions, and assist with project delivery across payment platforms.

The ideal candidate should have a foundational understanding of payment systems, message standards/formats, banking operations, and the software delivery lifecycle.

Essential Responsibilities:

In this Business Analyst role within the payments domain, you will be responsible for:

• Eliciting, analyzing, documenting, and validating business requirements.
• Creating Business Requirement Documents (BRDs), Functional Requirement Specifications (FRS), User Stories, and process flows.
• Conducting stakeholder interviews, leading workshops, and running requirement walkthroughs.
• Supporting impact assessments for new payment products, regulatory changes, and system enhancements.
• Converting business requirements into functional specifications for development and testing teams.
• Having working knowledge of payment processing workflows including: ACH / NACHA, Real-Time Payments (RTP), RTGS, SWIFT Payments, Cross-border Payments etc.
• Analyzing the payment lifecycle, covering initiation, validation, routing, settlement, reconciliation, and exception handling.
• Analyzing payment failures, rejections, and operational issues
• Creating business process maps, use cases, wireframes, and workflow diagrams, and managing them
• Supporting QA teams with test scenario and test case preparation.
• Validating business functionality during SIT and UAT phases, and supporting rollout in production plus post-implementation support
• Partnering with business users, operations teams, compliance teams, and technology teams
• Providing status updates and contributing to project governance activities

Minimum Qualifications:

• Master/ Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related discipline.
• Payments or banking certification is a plus.
• ISO 20022 knowledge is desirable.
• Experience with Agile/Scrum delivery methodology
• Ability to communicate in English.
