AI Engineer

POSITION SUMMARY

The AI Engineer will join a forward-thinking technology team dedicated to innovative engineering, AI-centric development, and platform evolution. In this role, you will engage in a variety of tasks including application development, platform modernization, automation, and operational enhancements, while facilitating the integration of AI throughout the software development lifecycle.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Utilize an AI-first mindset in software engineering, employing AI tools to enhance solution design, development, testing, troubleshooting, and operational support.
• Collaborate with business and technology stakeholders to analyze challenges and convert them into scalable technical solutions.
• Quickly create proof-of-concepts (POCs) and solution prototypes to validate use cases, demonstrate return on investment, and secure stakeholder approval.
• Modernize and refactor legacy applications, platforms, and data workflows across the technological landscape.
• Design and maintain applications and automation solutions primarily utilizing Java and Python.
• Assist with business-critical platforms through incident investigation, root cause analysis, and initiatives for continuous improvement.
• Work with global teams across various regions to deliver technology solutions and enhance platforms.
• Assess and integrate emerging AI capabilities to boost developer productivity and streamline software delivery processes.

QUALIFICATIONS

• Engineers adept at problem-solving who can deconstruct complex business challenges into structured solutions.
• Individuals who welcome AI-assisted development methods instead of relying exclusively on traditional coding techniques.
• Experience in Java and/or Python development within enterprise settings.
• Familiarity with AI development tools, AI workflows, GenAI platforms, or AI-assisted engineering methodologies.
• Excellent communication abilities to clearly articulate solution approaches and trade-offs to both technical and non-technical audiences.
• Experience with large-scale applications, platform engineering, system modernization, or data-oriented projects.
• Background in financial services is advantageous, but a candidate’s mindset, flexibility, and technical problem-solving skills are of greater importance.
