AI Augmented BizApps Architect

Responsibilities

• Architect robust Azure-based solution designs that connect business applications with AI-augmented functionality to enhance operational efficiency and enable data-driven decision making in complex enterprise environments.
• Specify end-to-end integration architectures using Azure API Management to deliver secure, reliable, and scalable connectivity across internal systems, external partners, and cloud-native services.
• Partner with business stakeholders to convert strategic priorities into technical architectures that reflect organizational objectives, regulatory requirements, and long-term technology roadmaps.
• Create comprehensive high-level and low-level architecture documentation that helps engineering teams implement standardized Azure components, reusable APIs, and integration frameworks that meet compliance needs.
• Improve application performance and resilience by applying Azure best practices across security, identity management, data storage, networking, and monitoring—while maintaining a balance between cost and scalability.
• Review current business application environments and recommend modernization strategies using Azure platform services and API-first principles to reduce technical debt and increase maintainability.
• Lead cross-functional teams in establishing governance practices for API lifecycle management, versioning, and access control to strengthen interoperability and safeguard critical business information.
• Leverage AI-driven insights and automation to simplify repetitive operational workflows, raise data quality, and support intelligent business processes across BizApps solutions.
• Collaborate with asset management operations specialists as needed to design domain-aware architectures that represent assets, events, and workflows in ways that support risk management, regulatory reporting, and operational transparency.
• Perform architecture reviews and impact assessments for new features and enhancements, ensuring alignment with non-functional requirements including scalability, reliability, observability, and security.
• Enable hybrid collaboration by defining clear architecture standards, documentation methods, and communication channels that help distributed teams deliver consistent, high-quality results.
• Coach implementation teams on Azure API Management best practices, including configuration, policy design, and developer onboarding, so APIs remain simple to adopt, maintain, and evolve.
• Advance the organization’s technology strategy by identifying emerging Azure services, AI capabilities, and integration patterns that support the company purpose and create positive societal impact through more efficient, sustainable operations.

Qualifications

• Demonstrate extensive experience in Azure architecture with at least twelve years of designing, implementing, and optimizing complex enterprise solutions, with a strong emphasis on scalability, security, and resilience.
• Provide hands-on expertise in Azure API Management, including creating API contracts, configuring policies, and defining governance models that enable consistent, secure integration.
• Show practical familiarity with asset management operations or related areas by understanding asset lifecycles, operational workflows, and regulatory factors that influence architecture decisions, even if the experience is primarily advisory.
• Possess strong skills in architecture documentation using clear diagrams and descriptive narratives that enable engineering and business teams to understand dependencies, constraints, and implementation steps.
• Demonstrate the ability to work effectively in a hybrid setup by leveraging collaboration platforms, following structured communication practices, and using disciplined self-management to sustain productivity and alignment across locations.
• Apply solid knowledge of cloud security, data protection, and identity management to ensure solutions meet organizational standards and support trusted business relationships.
• Use analytical thinking and problem-solving skills to troubleshoot integration challenges, identify performance bottlenecks, and detect architectural gaps, then recommend practical improvements aligned with business priorities.
